NATURAL VENTILATION SYSTEM DESIGN FOR RALL WAY DEP

Over Arup & Partners Hong Kong Ltd. was commissioned to carry out the engineering design of a new railway depot. As part of the design, a study was carried out to investigate the ventilation requirements and the feasibility of adopting natural ventilation scheme for the stabling area of the depot.

In this paper; the performance of different natural ventilation schemes for the Depot stabling area are presented and resultant environmental conditions are described including fire emergency scenario.
