The paper explored a new optimum design method for the air-conditioning chilled water system. Compared with traditional method, this new way could select an optimal pump from several ones, and acquire the optimal combination of pipe specifications under the lift head of the selected pump. Therefore, under the precondition of steady operating cost, the primary investment could be saved a lot, and the system performance could be improved greatly.
